other health disparities.

Overview

This weekly healthy lifestyle modification-training program is a
twelve week program addressing obesity, overweight
conditions and other health disparities that affect you, your
family, friends and the community. It introduces participants to
physical activites are exciting and fun to do at home or with
others. Our experienced wellness experts will provide
educational information and demonstrations that will increase
awareness, knowledge and perspective on fitness, relaxation,
food preparation, and nutrition to improve your health.

Physical Activity

Each session begins with a thirty minute physical
fitness activity where the Certified Personal
Trainer guides you through a series of warm-ups,
stretches, aerobics, and cool-down exercises.
The fitness program will strengthen your body,
assist with weight loss, increase cardiovascular
output, and improve stamina to promote longevity
of life.
Food Preparation

"A Touch of Life" program enhances participants' ability
to prepare healthy meals and shop for food in a manner
that will be cost effective. Our Professional Certified Chef
opens a new innovative world to foods that impact healthy
lifestyles changes. The chef guides participants through
preparing different types of foods and beverages that are
tasty as well as nourishing. They further reduce food
addictions and cravings.
Nutrition

Nutrition is the major element of the "A Touch of Life" program. Our nutritionist, who holds a
PhD in Wholistic nutrition, will educate you on understanding the relationship between food,
overweight, obesity, and other health disparities. You will be introduced and trained in proper
food combining, methods of reading food labels, choosing and using food supplements and
other nutritional related information.
